A Victim Information Pamphlet is available to any victim of a crime in the village of Mt. Horeb.  Please ask your officer to provide you a copy or stop by the department to obtain one.

If you are the victim of a crime and charges have been referred to the Dane County District Attorney's Office by our department, please read below for more information regarding your rights.

Wisconsin Crime Victim Compensation Program

You may be eligible to receive reimbursement for certain expenses related to the crime even if no one is arrested or convicted.  For more information, contact the Wisconsin Department of Justice at 1-800-446-6564 or at PO Box 7951, Madison, WI 53707-795, or at www.doj.state.wi.us/ocvs.

If you are the victim of a crime and the suspect was not a U.S. Citizen,  please read below.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) are committed to protecting the public and ensuring that the rights of victims are carefully observed.  Eligible victims and witnesses may obtain reliable and timely information regarding a criminal alien's release from custody, but you must register with them in order to receive notification.
